About us
Time to toast the future and exciting new chapters!
The Two Old Goats are Alison and Clare and we decided to set up together, be independent, follow our dream and put all our blueberries in one punnet. We believe in good mood food, tasty flavours, nutrition and creating fresh food with locally produced ingredients.
After time spent at the Eco Village, our new Goat Headquarters is now at 3 Church Square, Market Harborough.
Alison’s new chapter, 3 Church Square, is right in the centre of town and lovingly redeveloped to create a beautiful, light, welcoming space. The mastermind behind our recipes, and always busy in the kitchen creating the delicious choices available, Alison is South African and loves to incorporate flavours and ingredients from her homeland into our menu and knows a lot about nutrition and feel-good food.
Clare has exciting personal new chapters ahead but is still a warm and important presence at the new HQ, working several days a week, serving your food with a smile and being an invaluable part of the Goats.
We hope you’ll come and say hi soon!

What we serve

Our menu is ever-changing like the seasons and our moods. Our food is made fresh from the best ingredients sourced locally using quality, independent and local businesses to support our local community.
Our core menu consists of our famous Goat Bowls incorporating our signature salads and topped with delicious combinations to feed your soul, freshly made soups and quiches, and not just your average sandwiches but Chicken Satay in toasted manchet rolls, Boerie rolls, falafel loaded pittas and the Ultimate sourdough cheese toastie. We also have Avocado smash on toast, smoothie bowls and just simply delicious toast and jam.
We stock The Goat & Baker jams and chutneys here at 3 Church Square. Choose from Clementine & Mustard Seed Chutney, Cherry Tomato Relish, Chilli Jam, Blueberry & Vanilla Jam, Raspberry & Lime Jam and Apricot & Almond Jam. If you enjoy our fruit or savoury scones you will be familiar with the tasty jams!
We also stock The Goat & Baker Date, Pecan & Coconut Granola and Apricot & Sesame Granola for a delicious breakfast at home. We now use the granola on our Smoothie Bowls too!
Unable to get in to see us to stock up? Then email thegoatandbaker@gmail.com to order.

We love and encourage our customers to bring their tupperware with them to take their Two Old Goats fare home and to bring back jars or plastic packaging that can be reused or recycled.
Hot drinks are available to take away. Bring in your own travel mug or we have recyclable, compostable plastic-free take away cups and lids.
Food wastage is a big deal to us so our menu is designed to use ingredients in multiple dishes to minimise and cut down any wastage. We also make everything fresh on the day and stop serving mid-afternoon to ensure we sell out and no food goes to waste.
The Two Old Goats eat anything that is natural, nutritious, full of flavour and jam-packed with attitude. We love to support local and independent producers with our coffee from Jute, bread from Hambleton Bakery and My Gluten Free Bakery, meat from Waterloo Cottage Farm, oat milk from Wild and Furrow and our delicious cakes are from Caked.
Quality ingredients, prepared by people who care: that’s what we do. Questions about our food? We’re always happy to chat: contact us
